GAVEN'S "SPOOK-FREE" HALLOWEEN
Gaven, our daughters youngest son, is 3 years and 8 months who was born with a genetic disorder where as a result he has a whole host of challenges from autism, cognitive impairment, hypotonia (an abnormally low level of muscle tone), sensory sensitivity issues to being non verbal and communicating through a tablet for milk, water, food, etc. and other basic symbols to know what he wants.
Free Sensory Halloween safehouse for those with special needs and their families. A celebration where individuals of all abilities can participate! Alongside family and friends, please join us for a special day filled with sensory fun, allergen free treats, and soft lighting as we celebrate together in the spirit of Halloween.
Tables will be set up with different containers with different materials inside where surprises will be hid. Whether a wheelchair, walker, cane or other device, volunteers will be able to help decorate it for the occasion. A room filled with balloons to kick away and more. Bottled water will be available for all along with coffee for the adults.
Wheelchair accessibility into the building and the ability to move around once inside.
No age limit of the invitees, parents/caregivers to be present at all times.
Parking will be on the street in front of the building and there is a free public parking lot kitty corner to the building.
Public transportation such as Sarta along with other private facility buses can drop off and pick up their clients directly in front of the building.
